Laura « Lala » Craig came from California and stayed in the Delta. She joined Super Chikan's Fighting Cocks in 2002 and has played forty states and twelve countries since, leading her own band, Lala & Element 88 — eighty-eight keys, hence the name.

She plays boogie-woogie the way it was meant to be played: left hand relentless, right hand loose, and a grin that says she could keep going all night. She often does.
