Steve Kolbus spent twenty-two years as a stand-up comedian before turning to the blues full time. The timing on stage stayed; the punchlines became verses. He fronts the Clarksdale Blues Revue on harmonica and vocals, and hosts the Wednesday jam night at Ground Zero — the one where anybody who brings an instrument gets a turn.

His 2014 record Skippin' N' Hoppin' is all original material, with Lala Craig guesting on the fourth track.
